Mr. Mukul Hossain is bringing more than 20 years of experience-of which 10 years of executive experience in engineering, procurement and other projects in public and private sectors in Canada.

Mukul Hossain is from Munshigonj, Bangladesh and completed his Higher Secondary School Education from Haraganga Government College, Munshigonj. He attained his B. Sc. Engineering in EEE from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1992.

He obtained his P.Eng. from Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (APEGA) of Alberta, Canada in 2009 and PMP from Project Management Institute, PMI, USA in 2012.

After moving to Canada, he joined in Syncrude Canada Ltd., the largest Oil and Gas Company in Canada as Project Engineer. After serving in different leadership roles, he became Area Leader in “Major Project and Execution” department.

He is a result driven leader and managed Multi Million Dollar Tailings, Plant Maintenance/ Expansion and Strategic Projects in Engineering, Oil & Gas and other sectors including management and leadership roles in Exxon Mobile affiliated companies in Canada. His portfolio includes Health, Public Works Engineering, Administration, and Government Policy.

He is a certified risk assessment facilitator and has been facilitating Formal Risk Assessment for Risk Scenarios ranging from projects, buildings/ extraction/upgrading facilities that require to comply with regulatory requirements, etc. since 2014.

Mr. Hossain is working with Alberta Innovates to solve some of industry’s biggest challenges, while stimulating the start-up community to build new technology, drive new ideas, and support the development and growth of small and medium enterprises.
